Wayan Vota 

Wayan is a noted expert on the use of ICT in education and economic development. His 15 years of experience includes technology solution assessment and design, and the sustainable deployment of information and communication technologies in a variety of global educational settings. He has developed and deployed technology solutions for USAID, UNICEF, Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard, PricewaterhouseCoopers, the World Bank, and the government of Jordan. Wayan Vota is a senior director at Inveneo, Inc, a social enterprise based in San Francisco, California, and a consultant to infoDev at the World Bank.
Alanna Shaikh 

Alanna Shaikh is a global health geek who provides technical assistance to global health and international development projects, advises philanthropists, companies, and NGOs on how to develop effective development projects, and writes about global health and development for several media outlets – quoted in the New York Times and on the BBC as an expert in international relief and development.
Linda Raftree 

Linda is a forward thinking, effective leader with over 15 years of experience in program development and communications; including building organizational capacity, frameworks and strategies around child participation, youth engagement, violence prevention, advocacy, youth media, ICT4D, and social media. She strategically integrates social media and new technology (ICTs) into programs and communications for Plan International as the Senior ICT4D Advisor.
Lindsay Poirier 

Lindsay contributes to ICTworks, exploring information and communication technology for development. She is a third-year undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and Web Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Additionally, she is working towards earning a dual degree in Science, Technology, and Society with a focus on International Development. Over the course of her college career, she has gained work experience in several IT related internship positions, including coding for web applications, user interface design, social media, end user services, and research on development in linked data and semantics for the web.
Mike McKay 

Mike is a hacker for social justice with a long history of writing code from Lilongwe to Los Angeles. He is currently a Health Informatics Specialist at RTI International.
Ari Katz 

Ari oversees IREX’s programs that increase public access to technology and information in the service of development goals. These include the Global Libraries programs in Romania, Moldova and Ukraine, Global Connections and Exchange, Social Media | Social Action and Internet Access and Training Program. Ari has more than 12 years of experience in the development field and has been with IREX for 9 years. Prior to moving to DC, Ari managed the School Connectivity program in Uzbekistan and the Undergraduate Exchange program in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Ari also served as a teacher and administrator at the American University in Central Asia in Kyrgyzstan.
James BonTempo 

James BonTempo is an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) expert with over 15 years of experience in both the nonprofit and commercial sectors. At his current role, Learning Technology Advisor for Jhpiego, James has provided key technical leadership on a diversity of projects in areas including education and training, monitoring and evaluation, service delivery and behavior change communication. He has managed and led the development of national, regional, facility and client-level information systems and has worked to build ICT capacity both within Jhpiego as well as its external beneficiary communities.
